Obituary

Esther J. Nedlo (nee Giacobbe) Age 103, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County. She was born in Joliet on January 30, 1917 living in Joliet most of her life. Employed for many years at the United Wall Paper Mill, American Can Co. and Osco Drugs in downtown Joliet. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Nedlo (1989); her parents, Robert and Bambina (nee Pellegrini) Giacobbe; a brother, Robert Giacobbe Jr. and three sisters, Caroline "Lena" Engler, Teresa Garrone and Emma Kowalski. Survived by two daughters, Patricia (Michael) Lewis and Renee (Raymond) Baran; five grandchildren, Carrie (James) Boyd, Julie (Thomas) Beck, Sarah Lewis, Jillian Baran and Jeffrey (Daisy) Baran; eleven great-grandchildren, Corrina Mauss; Rylee, Olivia and Macey Boyd; Cameron, Lucas and Aubrey Beck; McKenna Koger and Bryson, Carsten and Asher Baran. Numerous nieces and nephews. Private family visitation and funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in Esther's name to UCP Center of Disabilities Services
