Passed away suddenly at his residence, Monday, August 20, 2018. Age 76 years.
Survived by his wife of 47 years Marlene J. Borgra (nee Klint), son James J. (Kimberly) Borgra and daughter Jamie L. (Joe Lauro) Borgra. His granddaughter Brooke Borgra. His mother-in-law Betty J. Klint. His brother and sister-in-law Bob and Bev Edman. Nieces and nephews Scott (Jennifer) Edman, Brian (Emily) Edman and Sheri (Alex) Ritchey. Great niece and nephews Megan, Zoey and Mason Edman, Rylee, Caden and Piper Ritchey, Tyson and Griffin Edman. Three sisters Jayne Roofener, Nancy (Rich) Grohar and Betty Puracchio.
Preceded in death by his parents Mario Borgra and Marjorie (nee VanMeter) Borgra, his father-in-law Robert J. Klint (2000)
Speedy was born August 17, 1942 in Joliet. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1960. He retired from the Cement Mason Local #11 Area 161, where he held many positions including apprentice instructor. Member of Matteson Lodge #175 A.F. & A.M. Member of Church of the Good Shepherd. Speedy enjoyed his retirement fishing, working in the yard and attending his granddaughter Brooke's volleyball games, he was her biggest fan. He and Marlene also enjoyed vacationing at their condo in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, August 24th at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Vinton Ritchey officiating. Memorials to Church of the Good Shepherd will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
