Evelyn I. Hanson ( nee Isberg) Age 95 years, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her late residence. She was born in New Lenox on June 8, 1921, resided in Joliet/ Manhattan (Ranch Oaks) until 1997 then moving to Crest Hill. Employed as a secretary for Casey Realty, retiring in 1979; Member of the Jackson Twp. Homemakers/ Secretary 4 years; Preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence E. Hanson (1980); her parents, Carl and Kathryn (nee Embling) Isberg; a sister, Mary Ellen Heintzelman. Survived by her son, Lawrence (Merry Lynn) Hanson; her daughter, Barbara Hanson; her grandchildren, Emily (Eric) Fifer and Joshua Hanson; 2 great-grandchildren, Mia Genevieve Fifer and Grayson James Fifer; her loving care-giver, Gena; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation for Evelyn I. Hanson will be at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 3 to 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from the funeral home at 10:15 AM to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Ambrose Church would be appreciated.
