Obituary

Passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late William Robert Gott, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to Robert Paul (Linda) Gott and Terry Lee (Terri) Gott, and she took immense pride in the family she helped build and nurture throughout her life.

She was a treasured grandmother to Brian (Gina), Tracy (Anthony), Chris (Traci), and Brendan (Todd). Nothing brought Florence greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into loving adults. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Caden, Brandt, AJ, Brody, Gianna, Colton, Amelia, and Lucy, each of whom brought endless happiness to her life. Florence was preceded in death by her brother, John Reuther, Jr., and her sister-in-law, Susie Reuther.

She was also a beloved aunt to Karen (Kevin) Griffin, Kevin (Derrick), Brandon (Kaley); their kids, Spencer and Cassidy, Matthew (Mary); and their daughter, Millie. Florence cherished her great-niece, Trina, and great-nephew, Alex. Known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature,

Florence was the kind of person who always put family first. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, cared for, and loved. Whether gathered around a family table, celebrating holidays, or sharing quiet moments with those she loved, Florence created memories that will be treasured forever. Though her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, her love, wisdom, and example will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be forever loved and never forgotten. The family of Florence Margaret Gott would like to personally acknowledge the exemplary service and quality of care from Sharisse Gray throughout the past few years at Solstice Senior Living of Joliet. Additionally, the family thanks Lightways Hospice.
