Frank E. Bahor
Passed away at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Age 85 Years.
Survived by two daughters, Linda S. (Steven) Turner and Kelly (Jeffrey) Cook; Four grandchildren, Eric (Heather), Scott and Jennifer Baranski, Stephanie Cockrell; Five great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Madison and Mason Baranski, Angelo Pagliuca and Nevaeh Malszycki; also survived by his sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Ruben Cruz, Joy and Ancil Stricklin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Gloria J. (nee Connors) Bahor (2014); his son, Daniel R. Bahor (2008); his parents, Frank J. and Julia T. (nee Worek) Bahor and his life-long friend, Eli Barrowman.
Frank was born in Gary, Indiana on November 11, 1935. He was a proud US Army Veteran, serving in Okinowa. and in the Army he was an Amateur Boxer winning a Golden Glove Championship in 1953. He retired from GAF after many of service. Frank thoroughly enjoyed his membership of over 30 years with the International Theatrical Stage Employee Union Local 124 retiring in October 2019. He proudly received a life-time membership on January 6, 2020. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Funeral Services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 15th from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. All attending the visitation and funeral service will be required to wear face masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice will be appreciated.
