Frank Edward Lopez Sr., 72, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at 7:19 PM at Loyola University Medical Center, with his devoted wife, Lisa, and children by his side.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Costos; his mother, Gladys Costos; his sister, Cindy (Mark) Himes; and his sister, Anita Lopez. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Lopez; his children, Julie Lopez, Trisha (Justin) Davis, and Frank (Ruben) Lopez Jr.; his cherished grandchildren, Kylie (Salvador), Micah (Rylei), Jocelyn, Evan, Elijah, Jordan, Isaiah, Jailyn, Janiyah, and Miya. He is also survived by his siblings, Jessica (Dave) Nolen, Rick (Terri) Lopez, and Linda Purkart, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Frank was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. He attended both Joliet East and Joliet Central High School and was a lifelong resident of the community. Frank was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and son. He found great joy in spending time with his loved ones, telling stories, and sharing laughter.

Frank enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—fishing, camping, and especially spending time on his back porch, where he could relax and enjoy the peace of nature watching and feeding the birds. His sense of humor and love for family gatherings will be forever cherished.

A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory 2320 Black Road, Joliet, on February 15, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
