Of New Lenox, passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Friday, January 1, 2021. Age 89 years. Survived by a daughter Judy (John) Skiniotes of New Lenox. Three grandchildren Nicole (Anthony) Vlahovic, Melanie (Zack) Davy and Christopher Skiniotes. A great granddaughter Leah Vlahovic. Her sister Doris (Roger) Snyder of St. George, UT and sister-in-law Phyllis Holmquist of Joliet. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Gordon D. Holmquist (2011), her parents Frank and Mabel Cary and two brothers Frank Cary and Roger Cary. Gloria was born January 12, 1931 in Joliet. Formerly worked at W.T. Grants and Milano Bakery. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a lifelong Cub's fan. Private family services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice will be appreciated.
