Harold D. "Dean" Cleaver - Of Shorewood, formerly of Rockdale, passed away peacefully at Rock Run Place, Saturday, April 9, 2022. Age 86 years. Survived by his wife of 11 years Monika Hale – Cleaver. His son Scott (Judy) Cleaver and step-daughter Laurie (Mike) Huska. Seven grandchildren Amanda Mason, Melissa Cleaver, Dylan Cleaver, Martina Rose Neese, Michelle, Brett Hale and Dylan Huska. A great-granddaughter Chelea. Preceded in death by his first wife June M. Cleaver (2008), his son Thomas "TC" Cleaver (2016), his siblings Louise, Hazel, Keal and Luella. Dean was born April 20, 1935 in Mazon, Illinois to the late William and Ruby (nee Vaughn) Cleaver. He retired from Chrysler Automotive Dealership where he worked as a mechanic. Member of Dale A.C. Dean and his wife enjoyed and taught country line dancing for many years. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Former member of American Legion Harwood Post. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmqiust-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, Saturday, April 16th at 11:00 A.M. Private Inurnment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16th from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
