Henry W. Weldon - Passed away Friday, July 14, 2017. Age 93. Survived by his children Robert Weldon, Donna (Frank) VanGampler and Joan (Robert) Nichols; grandchildren Patricia, Theresa and Molly VanGampler, Jason Nichols and Valerie (Dan) Andrade, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Jean (Carlson) Weldon and granddaughter Tara Weldon. Henry proudly served in the United States Navy. He was on the New York Battleship and also in the 4th Beach Battalion. Henry went to sub school while in the Navy, which made him part of the beginning of the Navy Seals. Henry was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather; he was always there for his family. He was very much a mechanical person and could fix just about anything. He will be greatly missed by his family. Funeral Services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory 2320 Black Road, Thursday July 20, 2017, at 12 Noon. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
