Hugh McPartlan Age 79 years, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Franciscan St. James Health in Olympia Fields. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brigid (nee Staunton) McPartlan; three sons, Hugh McPartlan, Pauric (Tracey) McPartlan and Brian McPartlan; seven grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, Deanna, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Matthew and Jasen; his brothers, Sean, Eddie, Vincent and Seamus McPartlan; his sisters, Margaret McMorrow and Maura McSharry; one brother-in-law, Monsignor Patrick Staunton and sisters-in-law, Angela Finnerty and Cora McCann. Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Kate (nee Heart) McPartlan; a son, Fr. Michael McPartlan; two brothers, Fr. Peter McPartlan and Joe McPartlan. Hugh was born in County Leitrim, Ireland on April 20, 1937. He spent most of his adult life in the Chicago area. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Hugh was work-driven and a very loyal man. He loved his family especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral and Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 9:30 am to St. Patrick's Catholic Church for a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 3 to 7 pm.
