Irene K. Tracz (nee Pohlers Vershay) - passed away peacefully at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County, Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Age 92.

Survived by her daughter Judy Edwards, three sons Gary (Sara) Vershay, Paul (Barb) Vershay and Ronald Vershay. Eight grandchildren, Michelle (Matt) Gurnitz, Laura Vershay, Ann Vershay, Kevin (Megan) Vershay, Amber (Chad) Wittke, Chad Edwards, Lindsey Todt, Heather Vershay; nine great-grandchildren Mason, Travis and Khloe Gurnitz, Madison Borneman, Luken, Nathaniel, Raylan Davis and Cole and Camden Wittke. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents Ed and Katie Pohlers, daughter Janet Todt, brothers William Pohlers and Al Pohlers, her sister Lillian Kozma, and former husband John Vershay.

Irene was born in Joliet, May 15, 1930, graduate of Joliet Township High School class of 1948 and graduated from Chicago School of Beauty Culture, working as a Beautician for 49 years. Seamstress for Hart Schaffner and Marx. Member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, soloist for many years and one of many Braille workers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 19th at 10:00 A.M. at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road.
