Passed away peacefully at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Saturday, December 4, 2010. Age 88 years.\r\n\r\nSurvived by his loving wife of 66 years Dorothy Bee (nee Kaldem); a daughter Beverly and a son Martin (Barbara) both of Naperville and a son John (Kathy) of Channahon. Six grandsons Eric (Valerie) of Plainfield, Kevin and Ryan of Naperville, Anthony, Matthew and Cory of Channahon. One great-granddaughter Riley. A sister-in-law Beverly "Bunny" Kaldem of ElDorado, Arkansas. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\n\r\nPreceded in death by his parents Joseph and Susan (nee Pianca) Bee, his brother Charles Bee and a brother in infancy.\r\n\r\nBill was an active member of the Ingalls Park and St. Mary Church and School communities for many years. Currently a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was a lifelong Joliet resident and a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1941. Veteran of the U.S. Army serving at the Battle of the Bulge during W.W. II and a Bronze Star recipient. \r\nBill retired from Hines Veterans Hospital as laundry plant manager and formerly served 35 years with the American Institute of Laundering in Joliet. He was awarded the Bishop Martin D. McNamara Medal for Service from the Diocese of Joliet. In Bill's leisure he spent a lifetime working and golfing at Woodruff Golf Course and enjoyed playing 16 inch softball for many years.\r\n\r\n
