Of Joliet, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Wednesday, June 13, 2007. Age 88 years.\r\nSurvived by two sons John E. (Wendy Jean) Stager of Greendale, WI and Robert H. (Wendy Ann) Stager of Plainfield, five grandchildren Mark, Alan, Cassandra, Michael and Michelle Stager, one brother Bob Stager of Park Ridge, IL. Also several nieces and nephews. \r\nPreceded in death by his wife Vernadene, two sisters Rita Lampe and Jean Terrell. \r\nBorn in Chicago and has lived in Joliet for past 54 years. Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army-Air Corps. Retired in 1982 from Allis-Chalmer Co., as a draftsman. William had been a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #239.
