passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Sunday, June 17, 2007. Age 78 years.\r\nSurvived by his wife Britta "Beth" E. Wallace (nee Johnson). A daughter Linda (Roy) Granstrom, three sons Jim (Beverly) Holt, Scott Wallace and Brian (Christina) Wallace. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister Lillian (Christos-deceased) Zouganelis. A brother John Wallace.\r\nPreceded in death by his parents William J. \r\nWallace, Sr. and Anna Marie Wallace.\r\nMember and Elder of Elwood Community Church since 1964. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1946. Veteran of W.W. II and the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Bill retired from Uniroyal Corp. at the Joliet Arsenal in 1988 after 35 years of service. Past President of the Elwood Lions Club. 49 year member of American Legion Post #5.
