Jacob "Jake" S. Paskvan, Jr.
Jake is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara E. Paskvan (nee Wielbik) and their two sons, Jacob S. Paskvan III and Michael P. (Arianne) Paskvan. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Bill (Jean) Wielbik and Brian (Lynda) Wielbik, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friend Paul Puleo. Along with his beloved dog, Max.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents Jacob "Jack" S. Paskvan, Sr. and Bessie Paskvan (nee Cuzella) and by his brother and sister-in-law Richard (Mariann) Paskvan.
Born on October 5, 1941, in Chicago, Jake was a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School and later graduated from the Joliet Junior College Police Academy. In 1965, Jake joined the Joliet Police Department, where he served with dedication until his retirement in 1992. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the U.S.S. Bennington, and was a member of the American Legion Post #1080. Jake was also active with the Moran Athletic Club, the Croatian Cultural Club, and was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, October 1st at 6: 30 P.M. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until time of services.
