Jacqueline “Jackie” J. Castelli

Passed away at Lightways Hospice, Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Survived by her loving sons Jeff (Rita) Castelli, who was more of a daughter than a daughter-in-law and Mark Castelli. Her gifts from God, granddaughter Jayme Lynn (Carl) Luna and grandsons Jeremy Castelli, Sr. and Lucas Castelli. Her loves, great-grandsons Carl Jr. (Shannon) Luna, Anthony Luna, Jeremy Castelli, Jr. and Maddox Castelli. Her brother Terry (Judy) Claussen and brother-in-law Harry McKeand. Forever Friends Sandy (Fred) Kelly, Pat and Jim Talaga, Bob and Sue Ruettiger, Jim and Sherry Oldani, Bob and Mary Rohr and Rich and Sue Hamilton. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

In her heart always, her wonder friends, whom she volunteered with for over 20 years at Lightways Hospice in Joliet. She felt she could never give back to Hospice enough, for all they did for her husband Marv. She tried ever so hard and hoped she succeeded.

Preceded in death by the love of her life, Marvin J. Castelli (2006), her forever loved and missed daughter Lisa Castelli Barrowman (1986). Her sisters Darlene McKeand, Judy (Frank) Partack. Her parents John and Florence Claussen. Her in-laws Duke and Jennie Castelli and sister-in-law Dolores Castelli Toomey.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and proclaiming “wow, what a heck of a ride!!!” “See you when I see you.”

Our entire family would like to express our appreciation to the entire staff at Willow Falls and to the nurses and staff at Lightways Hospice, for all their exceptional love and caring they showed our mom.

Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd. Friday, September 25, 2026 from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. Her ashes will be placed privately with her husband Marv at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jackie’s name to Lightways Hospice will be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Stone City VFW Post #2199, 124 Stone City Drive, Joliet, Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.
