James "Jim D" Delaney, unexpectedly passed away May 16tat the age of 81.

James was a retired truck driver and loved driving all over the country. He was kind, funny and caring but could also be contrary to a fault and he will be missed.

He was preceded in death by parents William and Mary Delaney, siblings William (the late Darlene), David (the late Roberta), Kathleen Martin, Walter, Howard (Barbara), and John.

He was a friend of Bill W and is survived by Sharon McElhaney (the late Don), Michael (Mary), Marie (Richard) Glidewell, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the Carlson Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home &Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, IL. Procession will follow to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL,  for Interment with Military Honors at 1:00 P.M.
