James W. Embling "Jim" Passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet on May 3, 1941. Jim was a proud veteran of the US Army. He was employed as an equipment operator for the City of Joliet and retired after 29 years of service. Member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, Joliet Municipal Credit Union and the Old-Timers Baseball Association. Preceded in death by his parents, Dennis P. and Mary M. (nee Rogers) Embling. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol P. (nee Caldwell) Embling; one brother, Dennis E. Embling; a sister-in-law, Joan (George) Dubicki and their children, Anthony (Fran) Dubicki and Dianna (Jordan) Clark; a special cousin, Kathy (Tom) Wise; several cousins and many dear friends also survive. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 9:15 am from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
