James A. Hicks "Tony" Age 68, grew his wings to be with his Lord and Savior, on Saturday evening May 28, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. He was born on October 29, 1953 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Emmet and Betty (Pendergrass) Hicks. After 42 years of hard work as a Guide Setter he retired. Tony enjoyed activities and hobbies; he lived his life for God. He was loving and generous. James is survived by his four children, James L. (Angie) Hicks, Delores (John O) Vance Jr., Betty (Michael) Gifford Jr. and Cora Fuller (Bradley); Nine grandchildren; three great-grand-sons; four brothers, Charles (Dottie) Hicks, Randy (Jill) Hicks, Kerry Hicks and Kevin Hicks; numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death his wife, Judy G. (Patterson) Hicks, his parents, Emmet and Betty Hicks; four siblings, Phillis Hicks, Kenneth Hicks, Terry Hicks and Steven Hicks. A Memorial Service will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
