Of Plainfield, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Friday March 20, 2026. Age 72 years.

Jim was born on October 30, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Irene (nee Dillon) and the late John Linden. In December of 1982 he was united in marriage to Kathryn (nee Magrini) Linden spending 43 years together.

Survived by his loving wife Kathy Linden, his children Megan (John) Cahill, Kayla (Collin) Linden, and Kim (Randy) Linden. Grandchildren Rylee, Evie, Aubrey, Hadley, Lucas, and Charlotte. His Siblings Thomas Linden and John Linden, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Preceded in death by his parents John and Irene and his sisters DeAnne and Patricia who surely welcomed him home.

He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family was the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to support them, celebrate them or brag about them to anyone who would listen. His wisdom, humor, and unwavering steadiness will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Per Jim's wishes, cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the man who meant so much to so many.

May his memory be a blessing, and may his spirit live on in the countless lives he touched.
