Of Channahon, passed away suddenly at her residence, Saturday, February 6, 2021. Age 73 years. Survived by her husband of 53 years Thomas J. Fischer. Three children Amy (David) Fischer – Hall, David (Mary) Fischer and Sarah (Ronald) Cochran. Seven grandchildren Ashley (Nic) Alexander, Nicole Ashfield, Autumn Fischer, Hannah Ashfield, Kaitlyn Cochran, Abigail Ashfield and Nathan Cochran. Her great-granddaughter Daphne Alexander. Three brothers Mark (Cheryl) Affelt, Jim Affelt and Bill Affelt. Also three nieces and a nephew survive. Preceded in death by her parents Edward J. and Ruth A. Affelt. Also her sister Mary Affelt. Jeanne was born June 30, 1947 in Joliet and was raised in Lemont, Illinois. Graduate of Lemont High School Class of 1965. She retired from First Health in Downers Grove. Jeanne attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 24500 S. Navajo Dr., Channahon, Saturday, February 13th at 10:00 A.M. Please observe all facial covering and social distancing protocol while attending. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
