Passed away at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Sunday, October 21, 2012. Age 86 years. Survived by a daughter Susan (Raymond) Staehely of Shorewood and a son Kent (Janet) Irvin of Elwood. Four grandchildren Kevin (Lauren) Irvin, Brian Irvin, Amy Irvin and Michael (Amanda-fiance') Staehely. One great-granddaughter Allison Grace Irvin. Three sisters-in-law Roberta, Ruth and Barbara Irvin. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death her husband Wayne G. Irvin (2006) and a grandson Mark Staehely and her parents Raybon and Bessie Douglas. Two brothers O.F. and Clarence Douglas Jennie was born in Jackson, TN. She worked for Imperial Electronics for 16 years retiring in 1984. Member of the Plymouth Congregational Church of Plainfield. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Friday, October 26 at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Bill Beagle officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to "Make Your Mark Foundation" 21005 Ron Lee Drive, Shorewood, IL. 60404 will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
