Jerry L. McCauley – Of Crest Hill, passed away at Edward Hines, Jr. V.A. Hospital, Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Age 67 years. Survived by his loving wife Cheryl L. McCauley (nee Wooden), two sons Brandon (Angie) McCauley and Ryan (Amy) McCauley. Four grandchildren Alexis, Mason, Ella and Madeline. His mother Norma McCauley (Nee Rohrbach). Two brothers Bill (Lynn) McCauley and Jim (Chris) McCauley, his sister Suzanne (Ron) Keahn. Also numerous nieces and nephews survived. Preceded in death by his father James McCauley. Jerry retired from the U.S. Post Office January 31, 2013. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War '68-'69 in the 27th Infantry Division Wolfhound Regiment. Jerry enjoyed golfing and bowling at the Pioneer Lanes and the West Chicago Lanes. Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, October 1, at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Mark McLoughlin officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M.
