Joan M. Watters Age 87 years, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home following a long illness. She was born April 24, 1929 in Morris, IL, the daughter of the late Harold Percival Tucker and Mary Quinn Tucker. Joan was a college graduate with a degree in music and taught piano in Florida for several years and later moving to Joliet and employed by Associated Orthodontics for 25 years before retiring. She married Donald Watters in 1951who preceded her in death in 1994 and also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Albert and Fred Tucker. Joan was a loving mother to her daughters, Joan (Bernard) Siebenaler, Donna (late Jeff) Leahy, Teresa (Rick) Mason and Katherine (Ray) Rub; a devoted "Gram" to Keith (Taira) Siebenaler, Erin Casey, Kathleen Leahy, Colleen Leahy, Rick Mason II, Danielle (Robert) Welsh, Mark Mason, Kimberly Mason, Grace (Thomas) Bourg, Anne Rub, Matthew Rub and dearest "Great-Gram" to James Casey, Rico Mason, Samuel Welsh, Isaac Welsh, Elliott Bourg, Kate Bourg and Henry Bourg. Dear sister to Alice (Paul) Ainsley and sister-in-law to Shirley Boero, Alice Mae Shuler and Pat Tucker. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Joan's life at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough St. Joliet on Friday, October 14, 2016 beginning at 9:30am with a memorial mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
