Of Channahon, passed away at his residence, Friday, July 9, 2021. Age 71 years. Survived by his loving wife Judy A. Green (nee Posselt), two children Josh Green and Jerilyn (Jason) Hagensick. A granddaughter Brynlee Hagensick and future grandson in September. His brothers and sisters-in-law Curt and Connie Posselt, Cathy and Bob Gottschalk, Jim and Joanne Steudel, Mike and Alice Peppler, Jeff and Becky Posselt, Jeff and Cheryl Ryf, Tom and Sheri Jo Posselt and Laurie Eckstein. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ella Green John was born January 12, 1950 in Chicago, IL. Graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stout. John was an Industrial Education Teacher at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, IL. He then took a position with the Association of American Railroads in the Damage Prevention Department in Chicago and Washington D.C. He then became Manager of Damage Prevention for the Wisconsin Central Railroad in Stevens Point, WI. John retired from the Canadian National Railroad as Senior Manager of Damage Prevention and Freight Claims in 2013. John was an avid photographer and lifelong railfan. He was an active member and past president of the Illinois Camaro Club. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
