John "Jack" Matoura "John Da'Barber" Age 74, passed away on Thursday April 13, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph's Medical Center. Born in Joliet and a life-long resident. He operated the Sugar Creek Barber Shop for over 50 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mary (nee Hrusosky) Matoura; his sister, Joyce Matoura. Survived by his twin sister, Jean M. Matoura; his dear friend, Mary Susan Vallerugo; numerous dear friends also survive. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 North Raynor Avenue, Joliet on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's memory to the University of St. Francis Athletic Dept. 500 Wilcox St. Joliet, Illinois 60435 would be appreciated.
