Josefina Torres – passed away peacefully, Monday, July 11, 2022. Age 98 years. Survived by her daughters Margarita Plascencia Jara, Maria Del Refugio Jara, Maria Del Rosario Munoz Jara, Josefina Cortez Jara and Martha Estela Cerda Jara; 60 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 29 years, and 19 children. Josefina loved music, dancing and bingo. She was feisty, making sure she got her word across, and demanding attention and loving every minute of it. Josefina was the life of the party, and especially enjoyed having her Tequila on the rocks. Family was everything to her, she worked hard to support her children. She raised 24 children and helped to raise her grandchildren, doing everyday activities with them. Josefina was a loving, caring and noble woman, she will be greatly missed by her family. Funeral Services will be from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 9:15 am to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a mass at 10:30 am. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm.
