Passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. Age 60 years. Survived by his daughter Christine M. Kozol, a brother Andrew (Janet) Kozol, a nephew Chad Marquis and a niece Danielle (Kyle) Anderson. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew V. and Rosmary J. Kozol, Jr. and a sister Andrea Marquis (1985). Joe was born in Joliet, October 9, 1953. Graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1971. Employed with Kozol Brothers Distributors in Joliet for 28 years. Formerly employed with Caterpillar Logistics for 10 years. Joe enjoyed building and racing cars, especially his 1955 Ford "Queen Cobra" at Route 66 Drag Strip, US 30 and Oswego Drag Strip. He also enjoyed his dogs and family cookouts. Funeral serivces will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, May 1 at 10:30 A.M. to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 901 Elizabeth St., at 11:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.
