Juan R. Martinez

Passed away at his residence, with his family by his side, Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the age of 92 years.

Survived by his wife Eufracia Martinez. His son Antonio Martinez, three daughters Elvira (Lucas) Johnson, Aurora (Aron) Servin and Eva Martinez. His brother Fortunato (Victoria-deceased) Martinez and two sisters Juana (Jesus) Martinez and Guadalupe Martinez. Sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sons Angel, Miguel and Juan Martinez, two daughters Gloria Alvarez and Ofelia Martinez. Three brothers Jose, Raymond and Ines Martinez and a sister Artemia Martinez.

Juan was born June 24, 1933 in Mexico. He retired from Avery Gravel / Vulcan Material Corp. He enjoyed gardening, rodeo's and horses. Juan also was a Chicago Cubs fan.

Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, November 12th at 10:15 A.M. to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 205 E. Jackson St. at 11:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 11th from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
