Judith "2G" Swango – passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Joliet., Illinois. Born to the late Adele and David Greene on January 10, 1941, Judith was a lifelong resident of Joliet.

Her life was a testament to love, faith and unwavering devotion to her family. Judith loved fiercely, and her greatest love was her family. She was also an avid baker, crocheter and solitaire fanatic. Judith never met a stranger, and her home was always open. No one ever left hungry or without feeling welcomed. She found great joy in caring for others, whether preparing meals, baking favorite treats, or sharing stories over coffee. Judith passed on strength and unconditional love that her family and friends will carry forever. Judith shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband of 60 years, Gerald Dean Swango. Their enduring bond was a source of strength and joy for their family. Although forever would not have been long enough with her, there is comfort in knowing she rests joyfully reunited with Gerald in Heaven, along with her daughter and son she had missed for far too many years.

She is survived by her loving daughter Dava (Stoney) Collman; eight grandchildren: Courtenay (Daniel) Martin, Krystyne Swan, Gail (Christopher) Roe, Thomas (Shasta) Swan, Elizabeth Swango, Jimmie (Shelby) Campbell, Daniel (Courtney) Campbell, and Douglas (Gabrielle) Campbell; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Judith also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Adele and David, her son Danny, her daughter Deana, her siblings, James "Jimmy" (Maureen) and David "Sonny" (Maureen) Greene; and three sisters, Lone (Bill) Hahn, Ardis (Burt) Cassani and Lois (Sheldon) Palmer and her husband Gerald.
