JULIA ISABELLI (nee Arens)
Born October 27, 1927; entered into Eternal Life April 4, 2016. Age 88, late of Shorewood, peacefully, surrounded by family. Born in Covington, KY. After raising her children, Julia went to work outside her home and retired from Troy School District after 26 years of service. Active for many years in Troy Baseball League, the Seniors Group at St. Jude Church, Mother's Club at Joliet Catholic High School, various athletic booster clubs at St. Jude School, St. Francis Academy and Joliet Catholic High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary (Murphy) Arens; father and mother-in law, Luigi and Anna Isabelli; sisters Joan Dressman and Dorothy Bruegge; brothers-in-law, Frank Wood, Jack Dressman, Jim Doud, Bernard Bruegge; brother-in law and sister-in-law, Angelo and Angelina Isabelli; nephews, Frank Wood and Philip Moore.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Nello Isabelli; children, Julie (Bob) Lyne, Cindy O'Neil, Mary Isabelli, David Isabelli, Michael (Joan) Isabelli, Matthew (Sue) Isabelli and Joan (Sheldon) Gorski. Also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen (Heidi) Lyne, Paul Lyne, Jennifer (Daniel) Young, Lauren (Ryan) Trone, Nicole Isabelli, Stephanie O'Neil, Rachel and Dylan Gorski, and Billy Thomas; great-grandchildren, Tucker Lyne, Evan and Audrey Young, Morgan and Kiera Trone, Dylan Moreno, Noah, and Annabelle Thomas and her sisters, Margaret Wood, Rose Doud, Theresa (Philip) Moore, and Frances Arens. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Julia Isabelli will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 3 to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from the funeral home at 9:15 am to the Church of St. Jude, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment following at Abraham Lincoln Nation Cemetery, Elwood.
