(nee Fields) - Passed away peacefully at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Friday, November 23, 2012. Age 76. Survived by a son Chip (Tere Lynn) Russell; five grandchildren Callan, Cendalyn, Chaz, Chesney and Chapin. A sister Thelma Spaulding and a brother Ernie Ray (Madeline) Fields. Eight nieces and nephews Judy (Ted) Walters, Darlene Pursell, Charles Spaulding, Bonnie Green, Ronnie Spaulding, Lana (Richard) Spaulding, Julie (Christopher) Lawson and Brandy (Dewey) Clay. Preceded in death by her husband Harvey "Harv" Russell (September 13, 2012), her parents, a brother in infancy and a sister-in-law Phyllis Corzine. Born June 4, 1936 in Kermit West Virginia to the Late Tiny and Dicie (nee Tipton) Fields. Graduate of Kermit High School and received her diploma from the Appallacian Bible College, the sister school to the Moody Bible Institute. Currently employed as Secretary (OA) to the US Trustee in Chicago, where she received the Attorney General's Award for Excellence in Administrative Support (Legal Secretary), a prestigious award bestowed upon the most deserving in the Department. Julia also was elected Clerk for the Village of Shorewood for over 30 years. Julia was extremely supportive and active with her husband Harv in his Pastoral ministries and as the Director of the Christian Youth Center in Joliet.
