Karen K. "Karrie" Ruther, 59, of Romeoville, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on September 26,

2023, at her home.

Karen was born December 1, 1963 to William Glen Ruther, Jr. and Kathleen (nee Mullaney)

Ruther Hernan. Karen previously resided in the Calumet City and Dolton areas as well as in

California and Texas. She attended Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas.

Karen enjoyed spending time with friends and was very active in the Grand Haven community.

She also loved spending time with her dog, Otis, and was an animal lover. She was learning to

enjoy gardening at the time of her passing.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kimberly Manning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Paws Chicago, 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue, Chicago

IL 60614 (or pawschicago.org) in Karen's memory.

A celebration of life will occur at a later date. Cremation was entrusted to Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory.
