Obituary

Kathleen A. Stephens- Lisowski 6/4/1945-4/27/2021 Passed away peacefully at Alden Courts in Shorewood, IL. Long time resident of Channahon, IL; Eastlake,OH; Parkersburg, West Virginia. Survived by her daughter, Erin Marie (Richard) Petty of Joliet; her granddaughter, Vivian Kiomi, of Joliet; her brother, Mark Stephens of Morgantown, WV; two sisters in law, a niece and numerous friends. Preceeded in death by her husband, Roger (2000); son, Brian(1987); granddaughter, Sarah Meizhi (2018);parents, Carl and Elizabeth Stephens. Kathy is now back with her college sweetheart, Roger, where they can now enjoy traveling again for eternity. Kathy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved watching Brian play baseball and his participation in the Boy Scouts. She adored watching Erin grow and become the strong woman she is. Kathy was Erin's biggest fan, calling, texting and checking in multiple times daily. Kathy had so much love for Sarah and Vivian, always with the biggest smiles watching them play and she loved when they would read to her. She enjoyed crafting, puzzles, an avid gardener, enjoyed being in her yard, tending to her flowers. Amazon shareholders will notice a brief dip in profits as Kathy's Amazon days have come to an end. She cared for everyone around her. She gave the best hugs and had the biggest heart. She will be truly missed. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Chaplain Jim McGuire officiating. Private inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date. In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines all attending the visitation and service will be required to properly wear a facial mask and observe social distancing.
