Passed away peacefully at his residence, Monday, June 21, 2021. Age 73 years. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years Sharon E. McConnell (nee Dahlen), two daughters Melissa (Jeffrey) Bowers and Krista (Abraham) Carretto. Five grandchildren Keith Carretto, Coleten Bowers, McKenzie (Ryan Laske-fiance) Carretto, Elleni (Danny Pocalujka-fiance) Bowers and McKayla Carretto. A great-granddaughter Zoey Pocalujka. Two sisters Jane Haeffele and Shirley Opsal. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Rolland and Georgia (nee Snell) McConnell. Three brothers Rolland McConnell, Jr., Jim McConnell and John McConnell. Keith was born July 30, 1947 in Mendota, Illinois. Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. as a machinist for over 30 years. Keith attended Fox Valley Lutheran Church in Sheridan, Illinois. Keith enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, basketball and many other sports. He will always be remembers for his sense of humor by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, June 24th at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
