Of Shorewood, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, Thursday, April 15, 2021. Age 41 years.
Survived by his loving wife Melissa E. Stroud (nee Doyle). His brother Michael W. Stroud. His mother-in-law Linda Doyle and father-in-law Richard Doyle. Sisters-in-law Michele (Roger Taylor) Stellwag and Jennifer (Christopher) Hyland. Nine nieces and nephews; Brandon Stellwag, Nathan Stellwag, Nolan Taylor, Brayden Taylor, Zacharry (Katie) Furr, Nicholas (Tisha) Furr, Meghann (Julian Ward-fiance') Furr, Morghann Furr and Jackson Furr. Two great-nieces Carly Furr and Maycee Fitzgerald. Also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his beloved bulldog, Bailee Marie.
Preceded in death by his parents Ernest W. Stroud, Jr. and Jane Frances Stroud (nee Chierigatti). His beloved dogs; Buddy Lee, Gracie Mae, and Chumlee Marie.
Kurt was born July 25, 1979 in Joliet. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Central Campus Class of 1997 and attended Joliet Junior College. Kurt worked for VisionWorks and LensCrafters as a Lab Manager. He enjoyed building and repairing computers, cooking, studying history, playing his guitar, NASCAR, NHRA Top Fuel Drag Racing and was an avid cruiser. Kurt was also a Beta Tester for many electronic companies and application providers.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, April 22nd at 8:00 P.M. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at 8:00 p.m. Social distancing and facial covering will be required.
