Lawrence A. Steves
Peacefully passed away on March 1, 2024 at the age of 76. Lawrence was the devoted son of George and Lorraine Steves. He was blessed to be the devoted husband of Paulette (nee Johnson) for 55 years. During their journey together, he became the loving father of Dwight (Jennifer) and the late Bradley. His love and legacy will continue on through his grandchildren Cooper, Emma, and Cole. He also was the caring brother of the late George Jr. He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was a dedicated employee of Advanced Data Systems for 35 years, where he worked as a Computer Programmer. He enjoyed single action shooting, music, and was the King of Dad Jokes. He was an enthusiast of the history of the American Civil War. His passion lead him to visit the Civil War Battlefields of Shiloh, Antietam, Manassas, Fredericksburg, and Gettysburg. Lawrence also loved playing the organ and could be found playing at Southside roller rinks including Lynwood Sports Center, Glenwood Roller Rink, Tinley Park Roller Rink, and the former Oak Lawn Roller Rink.
