Lillian M. Bernico (nee Lilyquist) Age 90, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Salem Village Nursing Home. Born in Sheboygan, WI on April 23, 1927, living in Crest Hill the past 61 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert G. "Bob" Bernico (2009); a granddaughter, Susan Haire; son-in-law, Gilbert Haire; her parents, Ingvald and Estella (nee Swanson) Lilyquist and by several siblings. Survived by her seven children, Kathie Haire, Barbara (Gerry) Hambrick, Mary (Chuck) Jekabsons, Bob (Sharon) Bernico, Steve (Maureen) Bernico, Lorene (Albert) Polesel and Daniel (Nikki) Bernico. 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Green and brothers, Paul and Clifford Lilyquist. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 beginning at 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am. Chaplain Jim McGuire officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
