Passed away at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Sunday, April 27, 2014. Age 70 years. Survived by her husband John P. Reick, two sons Jon C. (Andrea) Reick of Peoria and Jeff R. (Michelle) Reick of Channahon. Four grandchildren Courtney, Jacob, Samantha and Curtis Reick. Her sister Janine (Raymond) LaMarche of Coventry, VT. and her brother Brady (Mariette) Metcalf of Irasburg, VT. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Ray and Dorothy Metcalf and a brother Wayne Metcalf. Linda was born in Irasburg, VT. on May 19, 1943. Graduate of Irasburg grade school, Orleans High School in Orleans, VT. and Champlain College in Burlington, VT. She married John Reick on September 19 1964 in Irasburg VT. Linda began her career with Glenwood Medical Group in Joliet and then office manager for Dr. Warren Wunderlich. She also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Coventry, VT. Deaconess and former member of Irasburg United Church in Irasburg, VT. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Joliet. Linda enjoyed quilting, antiques and traveling. She was actively involved with the Orleans High School Class Alumni Committee. Memorial service will be held at the Carlson-Holqmuist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society or Irasburg United Church will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until time of services at 7:30 P.M.
