Lois Anne Clements (nee Hammitt) Age 50, late of Minooka, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Joliet, IL on May 27, 1970 to Gary and Betty Hammitt. Lois grew up in Channahon and graduated Minooka High School. She attended Robert Morris College and completed the Dental Assisting program with a 4.0 GPA, making her family very proud. She worked many years as a dental assistant and then moved up to become the office manager of the practice until her health declined. Lois is survived by her beloved husband, David Scott Clements; her loving daughter, Danielle (Tom) Sanocki; her mother, Betty (nee Phelps) Hammitt; her two brothers, Gary Scott (Barb) Hammitt and Jeffrey (Sherry) Hammitt and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her father, Gary Dan Hammitt. Lois had several hobbies that she enjoyed such as singing, cooking, baking, crocheting, fishing with her husband, attending church activities, and most of all spending time with family and friends. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed sharing her faith with anyone who would listen. She was actively attending an online Christian college in hopes of attaining a degree in Women's Ministry. Although she was unable to complete this task, she believed that God has a higher calling for her in heaven. Visitation for Lois Anne Clements will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The Service will begin at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Randy Blan officiating. All attending the visitation and services will be asked to strictly abide by the Covid-19 guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice in memory of Lois would be greatly appreciated.
