Lorraine A. Galick "Laney" (nee Barney) Age 78 years, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at home. Born in Joliet on May 30,1943, she was employed for many years by Illinois Bell Co. and later at Kohl's before retiring. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (nee Novak) Barney; and one sister, Mary Ann Benefiel. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert P. Galick Sr.; her son, Robert P. (Judi) Galick Jr.; her daughter, Loren Galick; 3 grandchildren, Paige, Robert III and Grace Galick; 1 sister, Eleanor (late, Richard) Wagner and several nieces and nephews also survive. Per Laney's request, cremation services will be accorded. Private services will be held and inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Laney's name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle Joliet, Il 60431 would be appreciated.
