We are heartbroken to report that Louise Joy Comer has passed away on March 2, 2021. She died peacefully and was surrounded by her family.
Louise is survived by her three sons Michael S. (Donna) Comer, Steven Comer, Brian Comer, and her sister Margaret Kearney.
Preceded in death by her husband Michael T. Comer (Nov. 14, 2018), two brothers Edward E. Wroblewski, Ronald Wroblewski, and her sister Barbara Koviack.
Louise was born April 30, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Edward L. and Florence T. (nee Ostrowski) Wroblewski. Louise was a graduate of Coughlin High School, and continued her higher education by earning her Bachelors of Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and became a Registered Nurse (R.N.) after receiving her Nursing Degree from Prairie State College. Louise was a warm, kind, and generous person whose personality brighten all the lives she touched. She was a long time nurse at various medical facilities, and finished her career at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields. Louise was a beloved wife, mother, sister-in-law, and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. In addition, Louise was member of the Church of St. Mary in Park Forest, Democrat, a voracious reader, painter, world traveler, and a member of the Indiana Pinochle Club.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 227 Monee Rd, Park Forest, IL, Wednesday, September 1st at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL at 11:00 a.m. Please observe all facial covering and social distancing protocol while attending.
