Passed away at his residence, Friday, April 30, 2010. Age 86 years.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Margarita Aguinaga Aguilera, their children Martin J. (Sylvia) Aguilera, Mario L. Aguilera Jr., Rebecca Izquierdo, Davy Aguilera, Edward Aguilera, Alma R. (Pedro) Martinez, Lily Nunez, Ruben (Veronica) Aguilera, Adam Aguilera, Tarra (Eric) Jordan and David (Michelle) Izquierdo. 29 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. His brother Emilio (Rosario) Melendez. Also numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nPreceded in death by his son George L. Aguilera, three brothers Francisco, Cutberto and Fidenzio, three sisters Inez, Jovita and Manuela, his parents Wenseslaus and Juana Gomez Melendez.\r\n\r\nMario was born August 15, 1923 in Mexico City, Mexico. He retired from General Refractories in Joliet after 17 years. Owner and General Contractor of Mario Remodeling Specialist for the past 41 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #4400. Mario was very active in the bowling and soccer community and sponsored many soccer and bowling teams in Joliet. \r\n
