Marc D. Boetto
Age 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Home.
Marc was born on August 26, 1960 to the late Dominic F. and Gladys H. "Terry" (nee Winer) Boetto.
He attended the Cathedral of St. Raymond Grade School and was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1978, participating in the JCHS wrestling program and statistician for the baseball team. He also graduated from Marquette University with a Degree in Accounting.
Marc was a proud Army veteran serving with the Military Police and stationed in Hannau, Germany. After his military service, he started working with his father for the Boetto and Boetto Insurance Agency and he also started his own tax preparation service.
He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, an avid reader, a history buff and a beautiful artist. He was a pitcher for many years for the Boetto and Boetto softball team. He was member of the Old-Timers Baseball Association. Marc's greatest joy was being with his family. His infectious smile would bring a smile to all of his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Terry Boetto; his dear sister, Monique (2015) and his niece, Christina Boetto Dewey.
Survived by his brothers and sisters. Dr. Mary Susan Horton of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher (Shirley Anderson) of Akron, OH, Joseph "Bucky" (Lisa Marie Calicchia) of Fort Mill, SC, Liz (Kevin) White of Scottsdale, AZ, Jeanmarie (Rex) Myers of Channahon, IL, Paul (Melanie Madarik) of Joliet, and Sally (Steve) Cicciarelli of Peoria, IL. Marc was the loving uncle of 23 nieces and nephews, as well as, 22 great-nieces and great-nephews. Beloved Nephew of Arlene (late, Joseph) Creech of Park Ridge, IL and Robert (Sandy) Winer of Huntsville, AL. His dedicated employee of 40 years and friend Laurie Sowa and dear friend Vickie Blondin. Numerous cousins and many dear friends also survive.
Visitation for Marc D. Boetto will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 3 to 8 pm. Additional visitation and prayers will begin at the funeral home at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022 followed by a procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave. Joliet for a Mass of Christion Burial at 10:00 am. Interment and full military honors will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet.
