Marie A. Webb (nee Skocy)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Park Pointe Gardens in Morris, Sunday, December 10, 2023. Age 92 years.

Survived by her children Marie Hurley and Gena Stafford. Four grandchildren Justin (Samantha) Hurley, Ryan Hurley, Julie Stafford and Megan Knight. Numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her close friends and caregivers Marlin Hartman and Johanna Spencer.

Preceded in death by her first husband George L. Stafford (2000) and her second husband Arthur A. Webb (2022). Her brother Raymond H. LaGue.

Marie was born in Koochiching County, Minnesota on July 21, 1931 to Harrie T and Juliette C. Shafer. Her and her husband farmed in far west Joliet for many years. Marie volunteered with several local charities and organizations throughout her life. Member of Minooka United Methodist Church, Marie participated in The CROP Walk sponsored with the United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, December 19th at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials in Marie's name to Minooka United Methodist Church will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. .
