Marilyn L. Lucca - passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Edward Hospital, Naperville, Illinois. She was born May 15, 1926 in Chicago, IL and in 1950 met her beloved husband, Nick at Lake Delevan's Dance Hall. They were married 47 years and together they had 6 children. Jillana (Daniel) Perretta, Sheree (Steven) McDowell, Patrice (Kevin) Holm, Brian (Cindy) Lucca, Jeffrey (Paula) Lucca and Glen (Brenda) Lucca; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Marilyn worked as a secretary for 28 years, 20 of which were at Walgreens. She will be remembered for her perfect memory, never forgetting anyone's birthday or important events, but more importantly, for her love of God and her family. Although there were hardships she endured, she loved her life and would not have changed anything. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Nicholas,her brother Donald and her sister Juanita. She is also survived by her brother Gerald. In lieu of flowers memorials to AMDF American Macular Degeneration Foundation will be appreciated. Visitation will be at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory 2320 Black Road, Joliet Friday March 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a private family service to follow. Anyone attending the visitation must follow CDC guidelines, wearing face coverings while in the funeral home.
