Mark A. Kucek Age 60, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Hammond, IN on March 5, 1957 living in the Channahon/Shorewood area for the past 30 years. He was employed at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant in various managerial positions retiring after 31 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. and Katherine M. (nee Dosen) Kucek; his father-in-law , Jerome F. Larkin. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary E. (nee Larkin) Kucek; two daughters, Courtney (Prashanth) Eladasari and Kristen (Brent) McMurtry; one grandson, Carter Eladasari; two sisters, Carrie Kucek (Harris) and Candace Kucek (Kochman); one brother, Andrew P. (Pauline) Kucek; his mother-in-law, Theresa (nee Negele) Larkin; two brothers-in-law, James (Claudia) Larkin and Rex Larkin; nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Jacob, Jessica, Julie, Jeremy, Zachary, Ian, Erin, Lauren, Colin, Leeann and Amy. Mark was a loving and dedicated husband and father, and in his spare time loved golfing and fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation for Mark A. Kucek will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road Joliet on Thursday morning, November 16, 2017 beginning at 8:00 am to 10:30 am. and then leaving the funeral home in procession to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Romeoville.
