Mark S. Plyer age 53, passed away peacefully at Joliet Hospice House on May 6, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Joliet on November 11,1967 to Franklin and Ida (Randles) Plyer. Mark lived his entire life in Joliet attending Raynor Park and St. Raymond's Catholic Grade School. He graduated from Joliet Catholic High in 1985. Mark was employed by Will County for over 33 years and worked in Maintenance at the Will County Courthouse. Mark married Christina Muraro in May 1999. He will be remembered for his laughter, his stories and his many jokes. Mark loved life and lived life on his own terms. He loved his many vacations spent in Phillips, Wisconsin fishing and enjoying time with family. Mark was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law Ray Baxter. He will be forever remembered and is survived by his wife Christina (Tia Muraro), his siblings Rita Baxter, Rose (Tim) Kerr, Brian (Daniele) and Keith Plyer. Also survived by nieces and nephews Julie Hoover, Matt (Jennifer) Baxter, Mike Baxter, Brian (Alyssa) Plyer, Lucia (Hannah) Plyer, Kristin and Kelly Plyer and friend Kayla Becker. Per Mark's request cremation rights were accorded and private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory.
