MARY THERESA BARKOSKI

Mary (nee Guenzi) Barkoski was born into life on April 20, 1949 and peacefully went to heaven in the comfort of her home, on April 6, 2023.

Mary is survived by her beloved, devoted husband John of 55 years. They together cherished beautiful memories, vacations, milestones and endless love. Her precious children Michael Barkoski and Michelle (Chris) Kessler.

She was best known as "Dede" to her pride and joy granddaughters Kaitlyn, Brooke and Denali. Dede was a name gifted to her by her first granddaughter Kaitlyn and shortly after adopted by Brooke as well. It was her favorite name to be known by. Her granddaughters strive to remember her by her strength, wisdom, and loyalty. Dede never missed a moment.

Mary's loving and treasured siblings, Catherine (Walter) Crandall, Margaret Thomas (Dennis) Shub, and Charlie (Sylvia) Guenzi. Also, many fond nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and forever friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaret Guenzi.

Mary's family would like to extend their many thanks to her kindhearted friends, neighbors, and church family.

A memorial visitation and service will be held Monday April 17th, It will take place at New Life Church, 500 Gougar Rd, New Lenox, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Service at 12:00 Noon.
