Mary Lynn Keir

Passed away peacefully at her residence, Friday, December 19, 2025 at the age of 84 years..

Mary Lynn is survived by her loving children Kimberly (Edward) Watson, Anthony Keir, Julie (Greg) Preisch, and Gerard (Maria) Keir. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren Jacob (Nicole) Munson, Joshua Munson, Justin Robert (Jasmin) Keir, Brieanna (Nick) Hamilton, Samantha (Kris) Tyler, Abbey (Tyler) Fink, Amaya Keir and Alejandro Keir and the cherished great-grandmother of thirteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Rodrick Hageman and her sisters Margaret (Fred) Benneck and Nancy (Ben) Franklin.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Keir (2001), her parents Lynn C. and Phyllis Hageman. Her sister Judith Kulik.

Mary Lynn was born on October 14, 1941 in Lombard, Illinois. Alongside her husband Bob, together they owned and operated Keir Jewelers in Joliet for many years. Their business was more than a profession, it was built on personal relationships and a genuine connection to the Joliet community they proudly served.

Faith played a central role in Mary Lynn's life. She was a longtime and dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as Youth Director, Director of Christian Education and was actively involved in numerous church ministries over the years. Her commitment to spiritual growth lead her to earn a degree in Theology from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Mary Lynn shared her faith through preaching, often delivering sermons at Elwood Community Church. She will be remembered for her strong faith and unwavering devotion to her family and church community.

Memorial services will be held in the Spring of 2026.
